Why do Protestants think that they are the "True" Christians and that Catholics aren't?

I have several Catholic friends who believe in Christ as their Savior. All Religions have people that are Hot, Cold, or Lukewarm. Unfortunately, the HOT are few and far between so all you get to see are the Lukewarms. Anyone that has accepted Christ as their Savior is a Christian. Thanks and have a Blessed Day!
