Well, I think that since he asked if he knew you, that he probably didn't like you in that way too much, or else he would've recognized your name & he would've known who you were already. But that doesn't mean that he's not interested Now, and that he won't be in the future =) I think you should just keep talking to him on face book, say hi and have conversations, then after you've talked on IM or email for a while (a couple weeks), ask him if he'd like to hang out ! just ask in a casual way, "hey we should hang out some time !" or "want to hang out some time ?" and see what he says. go with the flow, good luck =) and thanks for answering my q*
